Saturday April 18th, 2009 - MCCGP Bowling Event

To kickoff the start of the 2009 season and say goodbye to the cold dreary winter, the members of Motor City based MCCGP decided to go out and knock down some pins. There were many different bowling styles represented between the crowd, but all accomplished the same task, knocking down the pins…although some styles worked better then others.

The accomplished pin leader of the group was twinkle toes Joe McCann who took honors for both high game and high series. Just goes to show that if you buy enough of the equipment to go with the sport I guess it rubs off and gives you some skills.

Bringing up the rear, but smiling the whole time was Dave MacLean. While he didn’t knock down the most pins, he was the most likely to throw the ball down the wrong lane with his sidearm form.

All in all it was a good time by the group and allowed a little friendly competition between members. It was a successful event that will continue to be an annual MCCGP tradition. Stay tuned for future events!

Saturday December 22nd, 2007 - Adopt A Family Christmas

Club members reviewed AAF wish lists and spent countless hours searching for the perfect Christmas gifts. This seasons Adopt A Family from Mount Clemens, Michigan was able to celebrate the holiday weekend with a gourmet meal that included ham, mashed potatoes, stuffing, vegetables and warm apple pie. The holiday season wouldn’t be the same without the presentation of toys, clothing, school supplies and general household needs provided by the Motor City Club Grand Prix and it’s dedicated members. It’s our goal to help give back to the community that has supported our organization for 8 straight season. Merry Christmas and happy holidays to the MCCGP, the Salvation Army and all the families it support’s during the year.

Tuesday August 14th, 2007 - 2007 Fall Charity Drive

MCCGP members were able to raise enough money to sponsor 1 horse for a 6 month time frame. Our sponsored horse of choice was “Buttons”. Buttons is a mini horse that was rescued by the Horses Haven staff and provided food, shelter, proper grooming and medical treatment. Contributors are confident that Horses Have will be able to provide a much needed and stable environment for our newly adopted horse.

For more information on how to adopt an animal located at the Horses Haven shelter or for more information including charity fundraisers please visit the official website located at http://www.horseshaven.org.

Saturday July 14th, 2007 - 2007 Summer Barbeque

Plans for this summer’s barbeque were rained on, but surely not rained out. This year’s annual summer barbeque was relocated from its normal location at Stony Creek Metro park to a position more local to participating club members. Joe & Sarah McCann invited all members to attend the relocated event at their home in Clinton Township, Michigan. An afternoon of great eats and lots of shop talk filled the air as members enjoyed the time spent winding down. Weather can dampen an event, but never hold down the spirits of Motor City Club Grand Prix members who are bound to have a good time regardless of weather. The event went off without a hitch and members were able to grill, chill and relax for the summer’s annual get together. Thank you to all member’s that participated and sharing in the great summer fun!

Saturday June 30th, 2007 - 2007 MCCGP Golf Outing

Members past and present made for an exciting outing once again by shooting 18 holes during the Motor City golf outing. Event participants jockeyed for a shot at the opportunity to claim their best ball on each hole to keep the day’s event on track. Participants enjoyed a quick hot dog and beverage at the turn, and then headed to TGI Friday’s for dinner after the round concluded.

With the increased member turnout in 2007, we hope to be able to bring this event back in a much larger format for 2008. Thanks to all members in attendance for your participation and great game play!

Shake off the salt and detail them out! The spring detail day hosted by Chris and Jacqueline Recchia was a great success. Dampened by rain, members of the MCCGP took the opportunity to enjoy the extended holiday weekend and throw one heck of a cookout. Attendee’s devoured monstrous hamburgers, hot dogs, home made cookies, pasta salad, cole slaw and an assortment of other side dishes over various card games and side bar conversations. Saturday December 23rd, 2006 - MCCGP 2006 Adopt A Family

Twas the night before Christmas and all thru the house, not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse. The stockings were hung by the chimney with care; in hopes that the Motor city Club Grand Prix soon would be there! Showering families during the holiday season is one of the deeds the MCCGP does best! Delivering toys, food, games and learning materials for the second consecutive year, the MCCGP has partnered with the Mt. Clemens Salvation Army to help provide another mind blowing Christmas experience for one luck family in the metro Detroit area.

Santa’s GP elves arrived at the adopted family’s home in Mt. Clemens, Michigan at approximately 6:30pm December 23rd to kick off the gift giving season in style. The evening began with a story read by our family’s youngest son DJ. After a short reading of “Twas the night before Christmas” by Clement Clarke Moore; Santa’s helpers began the annual holiday gift exchange. Tearing open toys, games, books, puzzles clothing, household items that included dishes & glasses, Christmas dinner, remote controlled cars, DVD’s, WWE action figures and much, much more took us to the evening’s finest hour.

As our adopted family waited and pondered what could possibly be next, they were presented with two cards and a box. Upon opening the box, our family’s son DJ found an authentic officially licensed NBA Detroit Piston’s jersey autographed by none other that Detroit’s own Tayshaun Prince. Upon amazement and quickly sporting the new jersey, DJ was read the contents of the first envelope which contained 4 tickets to an official Detroit Pistons game as an honorary pre-game captain. Included in the second envelope was an evening pass provided by Entertainment Express of Dearborn Heights for a complimentary limo ride for DJ and his family to and from the Palace of Auburn Hills for the game. This evenings event ended with a tribute to all involved and included a song sang by DJ himself to all MCCGP members that reached out to help him and his family through this years holiday season.

Capped off by a long dinner at Brann’s restaurant in Macomb Township, Michigan; the MCCGP wrapped up the evenings affairs over a hearty meal and drinks. The 2007 Motor City Club Grand Prix “Adopt A Family” event was AGAIN, a HUGE hit, and one that will forever be full of memories that will last all of us a lifetime.

Holiday lights, music, decorations, and great home cooked meals make Christmas time a special holiday for those that celebrate and cherish the occasion. Ask yourself this one question. What if your family was put into a position to not be able to provide as you normally would for your children or relatives during the holiday season? What would you do? How would you feel? For the first time ever, the Motor City Club Grand Prix has partnered with the Salvation Army to help spread joy and cheer along with the holiday spirit to a family in need.

Saturday October 29th, 2005 - MCCGP Mini Mod Day / XP Cam Install

Performance minded MCCGP member number #21 Maanav Mahindru has his eyes set on one thing; making his 2002 Buick Regal GS stand out from the crowd. While at the 2005 MCCGP fall race day, he set a personal best of 14.3@98 MPH. Reaching for more, he decided that this wasn’t going to be your dad’s typical Buick anymore, but a low 13 second street rod. MCCGP members assembled together to perform the transformation. At approximately 9am, Maanav arrived with his box of parts, and the crew got started. All hands on deck as the motor was completely disassembled in preparation for the ZZP XP cam, upgraded LS1 springs, Comp Cams pushrods and custom PCM were installed.

Approximately 8 hours later, with everything properly installed, the newly transformed Regal GS was ready to fire. With anticipation building, the key turned to the on position and the rumble of the rejuvenated GS was heard throughout the neighborhood. Eight hours of surgery, and she’s now street ready. Members double check fluids, PCM values, RPM idle, and various attributes before giving the approval to take her out on the maiden voyage. With everything in tune, the crew cleans up and calls it an overall success.

Maanav will be eagerly awaiting his first opportunity to race his car in 2006 at the MCCGP Race day. Good luck Maanav!

Special thanks to those in attendance that helped make this project so successful; those include: Eric Buono, Dan Anuta, Pat Formica, Dave Pettinelli, Bill Whitmer and Joe McCann.

Early this month, the MCCGP has chosen to start its first official event off at Advanced Chassis Dyno Centers in Sterling Heights, Michigan for the Official 2004 Spring Dyno Day. MCCGP members met up at ACD and put down some impressive numbers to start off the long summer months of modding. Members in attendance were won over by figures well exceeding the 300 SAE HP markers in more than one vehicle. The MCCGP would like to thank the staff from Digital Horsepower Incorporated for their involvement at the event in regards to the several member’s custom calibrations and extensive dyno tuning. Please help us enjoy the event to it’s fullest by sharing our experiences through pictures and video clips of the event.

Friday September 5th, 2003 - MCCGP Track Day at Norwalk Raceway Park II

With such great success of the MCCGP’s first inaugural Norwalk Track Day, it would have been unfortunate to miss the opportunity to make it happen again. As the season began to wind down for the winter months, the MCCGP held its second annual Norwalk Track Day on Friday, September 5th, 2003.

Most of the crew going headed down Thursday night, and stayed once again at the AmeriHost Inn where a slew of Grand Prix’, F-Bodies, and old classic muscle cars could be seen in the parking lot. The club and its cars drew some attention from the locals, including law enforcement, but no enforcement was needed for this crowd. Everything was on its way to becoming another successful event for the next morning.

As morning came around, the beautiful weather predicted for the day had already started to show. Clear skies, low humidity, and temperatures in the mid-sixties were already about. A few of the club members left a bit early, making their final preparations for the track, and eating breakfast to hold them over till late afternoon.

When we arrived at the track at 8:00 AM, we were pleased to find that Bob Powers and his awesome track crew at Norwalk Raceway Park had already begun to prepare the track with 300 feet of “VHT Track Bite” for the drag races to come. As all the racers began settling in for the day by getting their spot in the pit area, the event Coordinators, Luan Zeqollari and Tony Bronzovich met with Norwalk officials to get the rules and regulations straight and make sure everyone new the safety precautions. While Luan’s girlfriend Megan went around getting all the signatures needed from all the participants, as well as mark the windows of the drag racers cars with the race number, the club president Joe McCann and his girlfriend Sarah were learning how to run and operate the timing tree and time slip machines.

Racing began at 9:00 AM with Luan and Tony once again having the first race. Two impressive 12 second passes came from Lou and Tony’s cars! We knew at that point that the day would be a success for everyone. Other members that day to get into the 12 Second club were John Schiffman and Jason Williams. Four other club members ended up getting new personal bests that day as well, bringing the total of new Personal Best’s to 9 members. Another notable feat came from Kevin Skonieczny, who got his naturally aspirated Grand Prix to run into the 14’s, an impressive and difficult task to say the least.

The racing ended at 2:00 PM and everyone had a great time. The entire club went down to Applebee’s just down the road and enjoyed and reminisced about the day over a late afternoon lunch. Later that night, a few club members decided to head back to Norwalk Raceway Park for their twice-a-year event called Street Wars. Street Wars is an all out, bet placin’, no rules racin’ event. The idea is to run at the track as if you were racing on the street, so that meant no time boards were viewable by the spectators, and the time slips were cut in half, so that the opponent you decided to challenge did not know what you were running, and vice versa. Luan Zeqollari and Jenny Bagley participated in this event and Luan set a new personal goal when he ran a 12.9 @ 107 in full street trim, including a full tank of gas.

Overall the entire day was a great success, and we look forward to making MCCGP Norwalk Track Day 3 possible in the near future, perhaps the season opener for 2004!

Sunday August 3rd, 2003 - MCCGP Charity Car Wash

The MCCGP held its 1st annual charity event on August 3rd 2003. MCCGP members gathered at Ernie’s Kings Mill Inn in Clinton Township, Michigan for a charity car wash to benefit the Ronald McDonald House of Detroit.

This charity wash was a success raising hundreds of dollars for a worthwhile charity. Along with the money collected by hand washing customers cars, the MCCGP put on a charity raffle to raise more money to donate to the Ronald McDonald House of Detroit. Sponsor prizes included, one free V1.0 DHP PCM flash, a fifty dollar gift certificate to Xtreme Performance, and 1 free pass to the MCCGP Track Day at Norwalk Raceway Park in Norwalk, Ohio.

The days end was a total success with MCCGP members collecting over $500 dollars to donate to charity.

Friday April 11th, 2003 - MCCGP Track Day at Norwalk Raceway Park

On April 11th, 2003, Motor City Club Grand Prix traveled to Norwalk, OH. for the First Annual MCCGP Drag Day.

Most of the club went down in a grand-prix-a-van on Thursday evening most staying in the Amerihost Inn there in Norwalk.

The predawn hours brought some welcome news from the local weatherman, a beautiful day, ~57° farenheit, sunny, and PERFECT for drag racing. Once at the track there was all kinds of hustle and bustle in the pit / staging area in the hour preceding the first race of the day (Luan Zeqollari vs. Tony Bronzovich the event organizers). Some people were putting in spring blockers, some were doing some slight engine modifications, some were even pulling the interior out of their cars, and like any good race day competetion, there was race gas galore! The one thing everyone had in common, anticipation of a good time. Jason Carlock ran the timing tree for the club for the first few hours while everyone ran, then he was relieved by Mike McFeely and Garret Sachs. Things were a little hectic as first, Jason had to see each cars number, write it on the time slip before each run, then work the lights. Things started to pick up rather quickly, and everyone got to make plenty of passes. A few of the more notable passes were made by Dave Winterhalter in his 1997.5 Buick Regal GS 4 door. Dave made it down the track in 12.747@109.22 MPH (no nitrous). Rob Coppersmith also had an impressive personal best of 12.949@104.64 MPH in his 1999 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP 2 door.

As the day drew to a close around 2:30pm, everyone started packing up their gear, putting their cars back together, and preparing to head out. Some of the MCCGP'ers decided to stay the night, and go back to the track for the Norwalk Raceway Park night of 'Test n Tune'. The afternoon session was quite impressive, 8 second dragsters, 10 second motorcycles, and the always impressive junior drags (running 8's in the 1/8 mile).

Just about everyone that attended was impressed with the track condition, and the helpfulness of the track personnel.

All in All, everyone had a great time.

Saturday March 15th, 2003 - MCCGP Dyno Day

The summer months long gone, winter settled in Michigan. Along with the snow came a void in club activities, not for lack of ambition but rather an uncooperative mother nature. The winter months having taken a toll on everyone, club members Luan Zeqollari and Anthony Bronzovich decided in mid January to organize a MCCGP dyno day to usher in the warm months and mark the start to an event filled spring and summer season. After consulting with club members and telephone conversations to various dyno shops a date and location had been confirmed. Advanced Chassis Dyno had been selected not only for its competitive pricing but relatively centralized location to the majority of the attendees. As most of us know Michigan weather can be as unpredictable as the Dow Jones and none of knew what type of weather to expect on March 15th. The snow came and went, as did the days leading up to the event. We had been experiencing a recent warm front the week leading up to dyno day and the 15th was no exception. Meeting time was at 9am, while still relatively chilly in the early morning hours, the sun was out in full force and a projected high of 70 was announced. The parking lot to Advanced was filled with club members preparing their cars, some with race gas and some even with some last minute repairs. Andy would be taking care of us today and running all our vehicles on the dyno. With a few parameters entered on the dyno jet computer, he was ready to get started. As the day progressed and the weather got warmer, jackets yielded to t-shirts and most of us migrated outside to take in some of the sun. With dyno numbers varying from 220HP to an amazing 311HP almost all were satisfied with their vehicles performance. Having had 15 vehicles dyno, the event lasted well into the early evening hours, with the majority of us leaving around 6pm. However one thing is for certain, this was one of the most memorable club events in recent memory and certainly one of the most enjoyable.

Saturday November 23rd, 2002 - USAC

As is normal practice with MCCGP, we decided to go to the 2002 USAC Finals, one the largest audio shows in the country, at the LAST minute. So, John Schiffman, our newest member James Baker, and myself (Patrick Lee) all climbed in John's car (yeah, I know), and headed down to Kansas City Friday, November 22. Arriving at the show Saturday morning, we spent about 8 hours looking at some of the wildest manufacturers' demo vehicles and competitors' cars in the nation. Damn near every audio company was on hand, from Bostwick to Xtant, they all had incredible cars. Aside from the manufacturer's booths, there were between 150 to 200 competitors attending the show, hoping to bring home top honors in the both the Sound Quality and dB Drag competitions. All of the competitors were very willing to talk and answer questions, and I was even able to listen to a number of the SQ cars. Alma Gates was also around, burping her competition-smashing Bronco, and handing out cheesecake. Fishman was also around, drinking beer and showing off his wild yellow Vette. Some of the other festivities included the 48-hour Installer's Challenge, bikini contests, X-Games demonstrations, and numerous other activities to get spectators involved. All in all, it was a great show to attend to meet people and see great installs. The ride home Saturday night was tiresome and a little 'bumpy', but the trip was still well worth it. Pictures of the event are listed below.

Tuesday August 27th, 2002 - MCCGP Photoshoot

There had been talk of an official club Photoshoot for quite awhile and many locations had been discussed. Well, we all settled on going across the border to Canada to a very well placed parking lot across from Casino Windsor with the Detroit skyline as a backdrop along the Detroit River. What a beautiful location for a photoshoot! Luan Zeqollari had put in quite a bit of time and effort to reserve the lot for us making sure we could get the best possible pictures. It's difficult to get everyone together for an event like this during the week because of everyone's schedules so we wanted to make sure this would work out perfect! The event went off without a hitch and we got some fantastic pictures! Click the link below to view our many picures.

Saturday November 17th, 2001 - MCCGP Photoshoot at Stoney Creek

This past weekend at least half of the club meet up at Stony Creek Park to do a fall/winter photo shoot. All the shots were taken around the Lakeview area.

Afterwards we all then headed to Lapeer Dragway to get some final times in before the season came to a close. Some of the members that ran were Bill Hooper, Jordan Kotubey, Sultan Ziyad, Tony Bronzovich, John Schiffman, Eric Buono, Tim Wieczerza, Matt Maciag, Luan Zeqollari, Jordan Kotubey, Jeff Johnson, Dave Winterhalter, Erik Morrison, Pat Lee took his GTP, and Chris Wald with the Official NASCAR Pace Car. Everyone had a blast. There were a lot more cars at Lapeer than some thought there were going to be. We meet up with the Michigan Grand Prix Club (MIGPC) and overall there had to be 30 some Prixs there. It was a really good turn out for us. Some of the members got at least six runs in. Bill Hooper ran a new personal best of 13.281@106.26 MPH. Tim and Matt were first timers and did very well. Tim ran a 15.371@90.69MPH bone stock taking a Camaro RS a run for its money. Matt ran a 14.28 @ 100.07MPH. It was a nice, mild day and as long as the racers had ice on the engine, the engines stayed cool for a good run. All in all everyone had a blast and some of them didn\'t get enough of it. Some are going back this Saturday to see how much better they can do with the colder temps.

Saturday June 30th, 2001 - Track day at Lapeer

This weekend some members of the M.C.C.G.P. met members of the Michigan Grand Prix Club at the Lapeer International Dragway for a HOT day at the race track! The temperatures hovered around the 90° mark all day and it was very humid as well. As you can imagine, the weather affected all of our track times. We were all running slower than normal, no matter how long our cars sat to cool down. The good thing was that there were not many people there so the staging lines were short, but the heat was ruthless nonetheless. Jeff Johnson put his Corvette Z06 on the track with his new titanium air intake, hoping to beat the cars personal best of 12.6, but was just off the mark with a 12.8. Steve Toth broke in the new NOS kit and managed to welcome himself to the 13 second club with a 13.972 at 101.71 MPH, congrats Steve! Just make sure and fill that bottle before you come to the track!! Rob Neghosian had a personal best of 14.328 at 100.37 MPH, good run Rob! Rob Coppersmith sped down the track in his Buick Riveria with the Series 1 3.8L Eaton M62 supercharged V6 with a best time of 15.589 at 89.52 MPH, not a bad run for the Rivman. Just make sure and keep those windows UP when going to the track next time :-) All in all, we had a great time despite the unfriendly temps and humidity.

Saturday June 9th, 2001 - Michigan International Speedway weekend

What a weekend! Words can barely describe the feeling most of us had those 2 days. The Michigan Grand Prix Club (M.I.G.P.C.) was invited as special guests to the Michigan International Speedway to display their Grand Prix's in a display area near the entrance of the track for everyone to see. Some members of the M.C.C.G.P. were asked to accompany the M.I.G.P.C. as members of the whole Michigan Grand Prix Club community by Brent and Babe Dyer (presidents of the M.I.G.P.C.) to take part in this once in a lifetime opportunity. Over the course of 2 days, we had much recognition and looks from many of the passer-bys. We were later told on Saturday, that before the big NASCAR race on Sunday, we would be allowed to take 2 laps around the track!! We were all surprised to hear this because originally they told us it would not be possible due to events leading up to the race. Needless to say, from that point on we could not wait for Sunday to come so we could show 200,000+ people who we are and our level of dedication to the Grand Prix. We took the track around 12 PM and started our trek at 12:15 and left the track around 12:20, just minutes before the race began! Bill Hooper wrote up a few paragraphs about us and that was read over the PA while we circled the track. Too cool!! Special thanks go out to Brent and Babe for not only setting up this huge event through much contact with the Public Relations segment of the speedway, but also for letting us camp out in their back yard!

Sunday May 20th, 2001 - Pontiac 75th Anniversary Car Show

This was the weekend of Pontiac's 75th anniversary car show in Pontiac, Mi. The show was held at the Phoenix Center in downtown Pontiac in a large parking lot. The weather cooperated for us, although it was very hot!! We got to see many generations of Pontiacs from the 1950's all the way up to modern day. I would have to say, our Grand Prix's seemed to consist of the largest segment of the show. It was a great way for the rest of the Pontiac community to recognize our modern muscle cars and to keep the Pontiac mystique alive. Congratulations go out to Patrick Lee, Eric Vatral and Bill Hooper for taking awards in our class.

Saturday December 2nd, 2000 - Track day at Lapeer

The M.C.C.G.P. met Lapeer International Dragway at 12 PM to take advantage of the cold weather (30-32ºF.) The cars ran great, I wish our cars would run this good all the time!

The first Saturday in December turned out to be one of the most successful days for the M.C.C.G.P. The low temperature was awesome for racing. It was hard for most of our cars to hook up (especially Jordan's), but when one of them did...look out! Members showing up were Joe McCann, Eric Vatral, Jordan Kotubey, Dave Winterhalter, the crippled El Presidente (carless of course) and yes...he finally earned his backbone...Jason Bowden! Members finally breaking that sacred sub 14 second barrier were Joe (13.816@103.40 MPH) and Jordan (13.954@103.84 MPH.) Jason got really close to hitting the 13's (14.010@101.91 MPH), but he still did a fine job for his first time ever at a track. Eric and his "factory freak" 2000 GTP again reset his best ET with a 13.685@104.33 MPH! Those trap speeds were unbelievable, we're never going to see them that high again until next November or December! Dave also broke in his bone stock and recently purchased (last week!) 1997.5 Buick Regal GS to a 14.858@95.11 MPH run, which was very respectable. We also discovered that recalibrated PCM for a 1997 GTP will work in a 1997.5 Regal GS at least in the mechanical sense. It seems that all the gauges in the instrument cluster die except the speedometer. Eric and Joe had a nice race in which Eric was the winner and Jordan seemed to have it out for a nice 1998-2001 Camaro Z28, who just couldn't seem to beat him. Jason also picked up a nice victory against an late 70's Camaro. This wasn't supposed to be the final track event of the year, but since the weather turned on us... It was a great year a the track for most of us. Next year year will bring the M.C.C.G.P. more members, mods, and new cars for some of us...all of which will make it an even better 2001!

Saturday November 4th, 2000 - Track day at Lapeer

The M.C.C.G.P. met at the Lapeer International Dragway at 12 PM. Also attending were members of the M.I.G.P.C. Most of us left from Circuit City on M-59 across from Lakeside Mall, (the usual weekly meeting location) and went to Lapeer from there. The weather was cool, in the low to mid 50's which was ideal for track times.

Saturday September 23rd, 2000 - Howell Meet with MIGPC

The M.I.G.P.C. and M.C.C.G.P. met in Howell at 1 pm and was held at the Kensington Mall located in Howell. The weather was mild, but rainy and overcast all day long. Turnout was good, despite the unprediciable weather. We got many looks from shoppers at the mall, even from the security that was attempting to maintain order in the parking lot!

Saturday September 16th, 2000 - Track day at Lapeer

We met at the National Coney Island on M-53 (Van Dyke) and M-59 (Hall Road) in Utica for a day at the Lapeer International Dragway. We got together at 10:45 AM and left around 11 AM and arrived at the dragway around 12 PM. This was a good opportunity for those of us who went to GPG 2000 a few weeks later to get a few runs in and to work out some of the bugs before we went out and showed the rest of the GP world what the M.C.C.G.P. was about.
The meeting at the Lapeer International Dragway went well as a whole. There were members from both the M.C.C.G.P. and the M.I.G.C.P. representing their clubs and getting times for their GP's. The weather was mostly sunny with a temp of 60 degrees and a gusting wind of up to 10 to 15 mph at times. Despite the cool temps and low humidity, we found the times a little disappointing. For the first half of the day, our cars seemed to be running slow. Those who had previous 1/4 best times were finding it difficult to match those times, much less beat them. We then took a break while the Trophy Race was underway. This lasted about 1 1/2 hours and during this time we allowed the cars to cool down with hopes of quicker times after the Trophy Race had concluded. After the race was over, we hit the track again and found the times lower than they had been during the first half of the day. Traction had been a problem all day, especially for Brent Dyer and his GTX who was trying out his new Firehawk tires. I think he left the track disappointed with them. Joe McCann set a personal best time of just over the 14 sec. mark, I think the new pulley and airbox had a little something to do with that! Both Chris Wald and Jeff Johnson established times for their GP's and Luan Zeqollari made a few passed as well. Take a moment to look over some of the pictures taken at the day's event.
